Rickshaw rental for mosque, temple and community center events in DFW

Yes. Mosques, temples, gurdwaras, churches and cultural centers across Dallas-Fort Worth can book the rickshaw as a photo centerpiece for community events: Eid celebrations, community iftars, Diwali melas, Garba and Navratri nights, festival days, fundraisers, youth nights and open houses. The stationary photo package is $1,100 for a 4-hour window and the site prices your exact booking instantly.

Your grounds are the reason this works. The rickshaw is not street legal in Texas and runs on private property only, and your parking lot, courtyard, lawn and hall are private property. No permit, no street closure, no conversation with the city. It is fully electric, so it is silent and fume-free and can come indoors where your building allows it, and the built-in speakers can be off for the entire booking.

Plain, with the canopy up. Undecorated costs nothing extra and is what most community bookings ask for.

Your grounds are the reason this works

The rickshaw is not street legal in Texas. On every other page of this site that is a constraint we disclose early. Here it is the point. It means we cannot operate on a public street or in a city park, and it means the places we can operate are places somebody owns: a venue, a hotel, a private yard, or a religious or cultural organization with its own site.

A masjid, a mandir, a gurdwara, a church or a cultural center owns its parking lot, its driveway, its courtyard, its lawn and its hall. All of that is private property, and all of it is fair game. There is no permit to pull, no street closure to arrange, and no conversation with the city. You approve it, we deliver it on a trailer, and it operates inside your property line.

The second half of that is the vehicle itself. It is a 2024 Euro Captain electric tuktuk, blue and white, and it is fully electric, so it is silent and produces no exhaust. That is what makes it possible to bring one indoors into a gymnasium, a multipurpose hall or a banquet room, which no gas vehicle would be allowed to do. Your building still makes the final call on the doorway and the floor, but the objection that usually ends the conversation does not apply here. People call it a rickshaw, a tuk tuk or an auto rickshaw and it is the same vehicle.

The music is optional, and at some events it should be off

The rickshaw has Bluetooth speakers built in. That is a feature at a Garba night and it is not a feature everywhere. Tell us at booking that you want it silent and nothing plays for the whole booking. Because the drivetrain is electric there is no engine noise either, so with the speakers off the vehicle makes essentially no sound. It is a checkbox on the booking, not a negotiation, and we do not ask why.

The events this actually fits

The pattern is the same across all of them: a large, mostly stationary gathering on your own site where families are looking for something to do and something to photograph. The vehicle is parked, decorated or plain, people climb in, sit down and take pictures for the length of your window. It is not transport, it does not move anybody anywhere, and at most community bookings it never leaves the spot you put it in.

  • Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha celebrations, Eid carnivals and Eid bazaars
  • Community iftars during Ramadan, where the schedule is set by sunset and moves by a minute or 2 each day, so we build the window around your timings rather than the other way round
  • Diwali melas, Garba and Navratri nights, Holi and other festival days
  • Vaisakhi programs and gurdwara community days
  • Lunar New Year, Tet and other cultural-center festival days
  • Church fall festivals, trunk-or-treat and parish picnics
  • Fundraisers, galas and banquets, including ones where a sponsor wants branding on the vehicle
  • Youth nights, graduations, back-to-school days and weekend-school family days
  • Open houses, interfaith days, grand openings and building dedications
  • Health fairs and community service days

The one shape we cannot do, and it is worth naming rather than leaving you to find out: anything that goes out onto the road. A procession that leaves your property, a Nagar Kirtan through the neighborhood, a parade down a public street. The vehicle is not permitted there and no permission you or we could obtain changes that, because it is a classification of the vehicle rather than a rule about the route.

Delivery is calculated from the distance to your venue and shown as its own line in your quote, starting at $125.Decoration is a separate line and is optional: $150 for classic marigold garlands and signage, $300 for florals in your event colors, and nothing at all for the vehicle plain or dressed by your own volunteers.

Anything branded, such as a sponsor logo on the vehicle at a fundraiser, is the corporate and custom package and is quoted rather than charged off the list. Start with the corporate form, which asks for the venue, the hours and what you want it to look like.

What we need from your site

Short list, and none of it is unusual. If your site hosts a food truck once a year, it can host this.

  • Somewhere to park a truck and trailer and unload, ideally near where the vehicle will sit. A standard parking lot is fine.
  • A firm, level path from the unload point to the spot. Grass is usually fine, soft ground and loose gravel are not.
  • One person we can reach on the day, with a phone that is on.
  • The window, and anything in it that cannot move. Prayer times, a program, a speaker slot: tell us and we plan around them rather than through them.
  • A decision on music, on or off, and on decoration, which can be none.

What we do not need: a generator, an outlet, or anything from your facilities team. It arrives charged, and a stationary photo piece uses almost nothing over an afternoon. There is no fuel, no fumes and nothing that needs to run.

What you get back

  • Delivery, setup, an operator on site for your whole window and pickup, included in every package.
  • Arrival 45 minutes before the booked window, so we are ready before your first family walks in.
  • A walk of the placement and any route with whoever is running the day, before guests arrive.
  • Rider waivers signed before anyone gets in. Maximum 5 people at a time, nobody standing. Anyone under 18 rides on the authority of a parent or guardian, which the agreement covers.
  • A written rental agreement you can put in front of a board or a committee, and an itemized price with delivery shown as its own line.

Booking this with a committee

Most of the organizations who ask about this are run by volunteers answering to a board, on a budget approved months ago. That shapes what is useful, so: the price on this site is instant and complete. You put in the date, the address and the window and it returns the real total with delivery included, before you speak to anybody. That is a number you can take to a meeting.

A 50% deposit holds the date and the balance is charged to the same card 14 days before the event. The agreement is signed online and readable in full on this site before you commit to anything. If your organization needs an invoice or a different payment shape, ask before you book rather than after.

One constraint to plan around. There is 1 vehicle and it does 1 event at a time. If you run the same festival every year and you know the weekend, tell us early, because a Saturday in October or in the spring goes to whoever paid a deposit first. Recurring dates are the easiest bookings we take and the ones most worth locking in a year ahead.

Questions organizers ask

Can you bring it inside our hall or gymnasium?

Usually yes, and your building makes the final call. It is fully electric, silent and produces no exhaust, so the reason a venue refuses a gas vehicle indoors does not apply. What decides it is the width of the doorway and whether the floor needs protecting. Send us the doorway measurement or put us in touch with whoever manages the building and we will work it out before you book.

Do you need power or a generator on site?

No. It arrives charged and a stationary photo piece uses very little over an afternoon. No outlet, no generator, no fuel, no fumes and nothing for your facilities team to arrange.

Can it join a procession on the street outside our building?

No. The rickshaw is not street legal in Texas and we never operate it on a public road, so a procession that leaves your property is not something we can be part of. Inside your property line, on your lot, driveway, courtyard, lawn or in your hall, is exactly where it is meant to be.

Can we book it with no music at all?

Yes, and this is a normal request. The Bluetooth speakers are optional. Tell us at booking that you want the vehicle silent and nothing plays for the whole window. Because it is fully electric there is no engine noise either.

How much is it for a community event?

The stationary photo package is $1,100 for a 4-hour window, which is what most community events want. Longer days and anything involving an entrance cost more, and the site prices your exact booking instantly once it knows the date, the address and the window, with travel already inside the total.

Can we put a sponsor logo on it for a fundraiser?

Yes, and that is the corporate and custom package, which starts at $5,000 and is quoted rather than charged off a list, because branding, placement and run of show differ every time. If you want the vehicle unbranded as a plain photo piece instead, the standard packages on this page are priced instantly and cost far less.

We are a nonprofit. Is there a discounted rate?

There is no published nonprofit rate, and we would rather say that plainly than imply one. What does change the price is the window and the decoration, which is where most of the cost sits, and the site shows you exactly what each option costs before you commit to anything. A shorter window with the vehicle undecorated is the least expensive way to have it at your event.

Do you serve Plano, Irving, Richardson, Carrollton and Fort Worth?

Yes, and the rest of Dallas-Fort Worth. Delivery is calculated from the distance to your venue and shown as its own line in your quote, starting at $125.

How far ahead should a community event book?

Further ahead than a family would. There is 1 vehicle and it does 1 event at a time, and community festivals cluster on the same handful of weekends, so a Saturday in October or in the spring goes to whoever paid a deposit first. If your organization runs the same event annually, book the next one as soon as the date is set.
